The summary at the end of a trial is not supported by all authors of scientific texts alike: It is argued that these are merely repetitions, but it overlooks the fact that both support the understanding through repetition, as well as the memory is strengthened. But not only as retrospective summaries are useful, but also for advance information of the reader: A skilled reader will first i.e. the initiation of a study and then read the summary to make sure that the results are relevant for him and new. Only then the reader will choose to read the entire study. For this reason, the summary should be in every extended work.
